Blair's no asset

Gordon Brown must be a little concerned that Tony Blair intends supporting the Labour fight to win the May election as Tony Blair's involvement could have a very negative effect on the Labour campaign and be seen by the voters as an unwanted distraction.

Tony Blair should instead concentrate on what he is really good at with his new found career as an after-dinner speaker and minding his vast property portfolio he developed as a classic example of how New Labour worked for him.
