Bird land

I am in total agreement with the proposition that we adopt the golden eagle as our national bird.

Its symbolism chimes well with the ambitions of the people of Scotland, but there is a small difficulty in that no nation can soar with the eagles when it is governed by turkeys. Perhaps we should put the national bird question on hold for a few years in case the progress of events reduces the choice of a national bird icon to a cuckoo.
