Bet on victory

No doubt on reading the latest Scotsman poll findings (5 May), the SNP will be frantically trying to find suitable words to spin Mr Salmond's boast of "20 seats" into some kind of victory when the votes and seats are counted.

Well known punter that he is, and awash with taxpayer-funded cash on leaving Westminster, one wonders how much he gambled on his party gaining the 20-plus seats he forecast.
