BBC letter

It has been claimed that,
despite the BBC officially denying all knowledge of it, executives at the highest level of the corporation secretly helped to co-ordinate a celebrity letter warning the Prime Minister that plans to reform the corporation would damage Britain’s global standing.

It would appear that some of the BBC’s highest-paid stars were signatories to this letter.

Perhaps this highly questionable manoeuvre will serve to alert us all to the possibility of the BBC using its not inconsiderable global communications resources to present its own case over the next few months. I wonder if this is ethical.
