Balancing act

I am slightly surprised at the logic of Peter Kilfoyle’s argument for independence (your report, 18 July). He wants to correct the imbalance between London and the rest of the country, and says independence will help.

You can just as easily say Scotland in the UK adds weight to the regions trying to correct the imbalance, which is the view of the mayor of Liverpool, Joe Anderson.
