Back problem

I wish Andy Murray good luck. However, I am very concerned that he has agreed to have an operation on his back (your report, 20 September).

Several years ago, an eminent cardiologist acquaintance told me “no matter what problems you are having with your back, and how these problems are affecting your life, under no circumstances, allow anyone to operate on your back”.
