Austerity sense

In the STV leaders’ debate Nicola Sturgeon claimed that continuing with the programme of “austerity” – aka matching your spending to your income – would result in a million children being driven into poverty.

What she fails to tell us is that her programme of uncosted
additional expenditure totalling hundreds of billions of pounds will drive not just our children, but our children’s children, and our children’s grandchildren, into a debt that they will have no hope of ever repaying.

Does Sturgeon want to bankrupt generations not yet born for short-term political advantage?
