Anthem distraction

Are we Scots parochial or what? There’s a war on; people are being shot, killed and bombed around the globe by Islamic terrorists.

The security services have raised the likelihood of similar threats here in Britain. The leaders are in discussions concerning a two-pronged attack by the US and UK on cyber criminals and terrorists. The general election hustings is building up steam. The oil industry in Scotland is under pressure and shrinking because the oil price has crashed through the floor. And what is the thing uppermost in your letters writers’ minds? A bloody national anthem! Talk about fiddling while Rome burns. We’ve got one and what difference would a change make? Not a jot. These damned Nationalists will be the death of us all. Get a grip.
