I was interested to read that researchers at Aberdeen University were planning to study the impact that digital technology is having on people’s working and social lives (your report, 4 July).

I would volunteer my grandsons as guinea pigs but I don’t suppose they’d hear my verbal requests; I would have to e-mail or tweet them.
