Airport parking

Dick Turpin is alive and well at Edinburgh Airport.

Surely I cannot be the only resident of Edinburgh disgusted by the horrendous abuse of a monopoly parking situation there.

I recently took an elderly relative to the airport who would have struggled to use public transport.

After helping them into the terminal and helping them check in their luggage, I returned to my car exactly one hour and ten minutes later to be confronted with an £8 parking charge plus a 24p administration charge for paying by credit card.

This is an appalling rip off and the authorities at the airport should be ashamed of themselves. Does no-one at the Scottish Government monitor this kind of abuse?
