Ailing policy

There is little logic in having an open “whistleblowing” phoneline to encourage staff to report any concerns while at the same time suspending senior surgeons for speaking their mind, thereby seriously undermining staff morale.

Grampian Health Board management needs to urgently review its attitude in dealing with complaints and honestly publish all reports to try to regain some credibility with staff, patients and the public at large.
