Ability deficit

The rather predictable reply to the Autumn Statement came from the SNP’s treasury spokesman Stewart Hosie, who said: “That is why we must have full economic decision-making power in Scotland to deliver prosperity with a purpose.”

The SNP have significant powers, and a hefty budget. Surely they control enough levers to actually begin to demonstrate how they would deliver prosperity.

Their big problem is that we simply cannot trust them with more responsibility in the near total absence of such a demonstration of their “ability”.
