A9 safety

I refer to Jim Geddes’ letter (20 June) on A9 cameras.

We have a “promise” that the A9 will be dualled in something like 2018 and in the meantime these average speed cameras are supposed to solve the problems.

Does anyone in the decision-making process drive on the A9?

One solution would be to stop big lorries being restricted to 40mph on single carriageways.

This leads to long queues 
and frustration, which causes accidents.

Instead of having a state guardian for every child, we should have people whose job it is to remind people to be responsible, safe drivers. Lots of people don’t seem to be grown-up enough to remind themselves.
