A9 hypocrisy

Transport minister Keith Brown (your report, 6 September) defended the lack of progress in dualling the A9 by reportedly arguing: “The A9 passes through areas which are breathtaking and hugely important in terms of wildlife and landscape – not to mention people’s homes.”

If that is the case, why did this not prevent the construction of the Beauly to Denny power line or the many wind farms that will be connected to it? Hypocrisy!
