A tactical battle
Mainstream political parties have alienated Catholics and many other Christians by pressing ahead with gay “marriage”, and they know it.
We now find a few politicians, on both sides of the Border, speaking out with more conservative views on abortion. The thought has crossed my mind that this is a deliberate ploy to win back Christian voters.
If abortion laws are actually changed, then many may be drawn back towards voting for a mainstream party, but I fear that what is happening is that a handful of foot soldiers have been sent over the top to face the wrath of the liberal establishment, with no real intent to change policy.
