OFFICIAL figures have shown that Scotland’s booming return to economic growth has topped its pre-recession peak to reach a new record level.
This means output in Scotland is now 0.4 per cent above its pre-recession level, while the UK figure for the same period was still 0.6 per cent below pre-recession levels.
However, it has also emerged that the number of jobless Scots has soared by 13,000, as the volatile economic climate continues.
