JIM MURPHY has emerged as favourite to replace the departed Johann Lamont as leader of the Scottish Labour Party.
The 47-year old, who Member of Parliament for East Renfrewshire, is understood to be discussing with his family whether to make a bid for the Scottish leadership.
Murphy was a fervent campaigner for the ‘No’ vote in the lead up to the Scottish independence referendum.
