DAVID Cameron has insisted he is “completely unapologetic” about taking a stand over Jean-Claude Juncker’s nomination for the EU’s top job.

The Prime Minister is facing defeat and isolation in Brussels, when he aims to force a vote on the nomination of Jean-Claude Juncker as president of the European Commission.

In an apparent swipe at some of his fellow leaders, who are reported to have voiced unease with Mr Juncker’s candidacy in private talks, Mr Cameron said: “It’s very important in Europe, that you say what you say in private, and it’s the same as what you say in public.”
