The Scotsman cartoon: Boxing Day sales
Tens of thousands of shoppers, some queuing from as early as 3am, hit high streets and shopping centres in search of a bargain in the Boxing Day sales.
It comes after reports that £350 million was spent online in the UK during Christmas Day.
Some stores have cut prices by 80 per cent in order to attract shoppers, and retailers believe it could be the busiest Boxing Day ever.
