Francis has shown his green credentials . . . but with a £175,000 price tag, surely he should have consulted our Chris.

IT’S seen a sign of luck – so surely only good things await city track star Lynsey Sharp.

The Olympic 800m runner, whose dad is ex-sprinter Cameron Sharp, is preparing to quit the UK temporarily for a training stint in the slightly warmer climes of California.

But these great islands left her something to remember them by – when a passing bird made its mark.

The 22-year-old, who recently swapped her Meadowbank training base for better facilities at Loughborough University, made her parting shot on Twitter as she packed her bags.

Lynsey, a semi-finalist in her discipline during the 2012 London Games, told followers: “Last session in the UK. Got s*** on by a bird. Goooodbye!”
