The cyclist took to twitter to “apologise” after hitting a pigeon during a training ride – and quickly got a reply from @ThePigeonyouhit saying: “Yeah hi Chris. My mates aren’t too impressed and my Mrs is upset about the missing feathers!”

Fed up with the 5-1 taunts, Hibs have now started selling T-shirts with the legend “Zero-7 01-Jan 1973” and will be hoping their loyal fans can wear it with pride and remind their footballing neighbours they weren’t always the derby underdogs.

Trams folk are spaced out

Edinburgh Trams are keeping people updated by posting a series of aerial shots highlighting work - although they were perhaps a little ambitious when posting a picture taken “a little higher up” – the International Space Station, to be exact.

Poster date for Filth

IT’s the movie date that Irvine Welsh fans are waiting for – and while there’s still no release date it seems we are set to get a glimpse of the forthcoming Capital crime epic Filth.

The movie, filmed in the Capital last year, will get its very own teaser trailer and poster released on Wednesday – although it will have its work cut out to be as iconic as the poster for Trainspotting, the hit movie adapted from Welsh’s bestselling novel.
