ALEX SALMOND looks reluctant to use his emergency option after Chancellor George Osborne said the UK would refuse to enter into a currency union with Scotland in the event of independence.
Salmond yesterday admitted Scotland had a range of currency options, but had not given up on his proposal to share a sterling zone with the rest of the UK.
