The Scotsman cartoon: Sarah Boyack to stand
SARAH BOYACK has become the first candidate to officially announce her intention to run for Scottish Labour leader.
The former Environment minister, who served in previous Labour-led executives in Edinburgh, believes she has the backing of colleagues in both Edinburgh and London.
This comes one day after Gordon Brown and Anas Sarwar made clear their intentions not to run.
