The Scottish Government says it means Scotland must now look at implementing a lower retirement age than the rest of the UK.

The latest figures published by the Office of National Statistics show that life expectancy at birth and at 65 in Scotland is higher than it has ever been. However, life expectancy at 65 in Scotland is still the lowest within the UK.
