THE Grangemouth petrochemical plant has been saved from closure, owners Ineos have announced.
The firm has reversed its decision to axe the massive complex - which would have seen 800 jobs lost - after unions agreed to a controversial rescue package at the plant which will see staff pay and conditions cut.
