BANNOCKBURN Live organisers have been forced to apologise after long queues spoiled the event for many visitors.
People were forced to queue for up to three hours to watch a re-enactment of the Bannockburn battle which was supposed to be one of the centrepieces of the 2014 “Year of Homecoming”.
VisitScotland and Unique Events, who jointly ran the event, will be ordered to explain what went wrong to MSP’s sitting on the tourism committee.
