A variety of answers to the questionnaire’s four points have been made by the Scottish MPs who have so far replied. Those who have indicated without reservation that they would accept the Covenant if signed by a majority of electors as sufficient evidence that the majority of people in Scotland desire a Scottish Parliament, are: Mr John Rankin, MP for Tradeston, Glasgow; Mr John McGovern MP; lvor Shettleston, Glasgow; Mr AJP Macdonald, MP for Roxburgh and Selkirk; and Mr J Grimond, MP for Orkney and Shetland.
