Open mic for new recruits

JEWEL & Esk College is holding an open mic night in search of its latest business recruits.

The Centre for Enterprise and Entrepreneurship is transforming the college’s interview process as candidates are invited to pitch for part-time business lecturer positions.

Head of centre Sharon McAllister, who came up with the idea, said: “We want to add an entrepreneurial flair throughout the curriculum.”

Candidates will present a ten-minute pitch to a panel, made up of staff, students and some of the college’s key business contacts, who will select the new lecturers.
