Online sales theft charge

An 18-year-old man is expected to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today after being arrested and charged in connection with alleged robberies from people who posted electronics items for sale online.

Three people allegedly had items stolen in separate incidents at a McDonald’s restaurant car park in Telford Road, Edinburgh, after arranging to meet a “buyer”.

The items were all understood to have been listed for sale on the Gumtree website.
