One's stockings for sale

A PAIR of Queen Victoria's stockings, valued at £400, will be auctioned in the Capital next month.

Lyon & Turnbull will sell the black-and-white, hand-stitched, silk stockings with crests on 24 March. According to Lee Young, a specialist at Lyon & Turnbull, they are believed to have been Queen Victoria's favourite design during the 1870s.
