Olympic dish call for kids

BUDDING young chefs are being urged to enter a cookery competition and win the chance to have their dish featured on a restaurant menu in the build up to the Olympics.

Edinburgh’s Channings Hotel is inviting pupils at local schools to create their own dish as part of its schools’ cookery competition.

Karen Higgins, head chef at the hotel, said: “I’m looking forward to welcoming one young chef into my kitchen to work alongside me.”
