Oldest dog in Scotland dies

A MUNRO-BAGGING pet from Penicuik who lived to be Scotland's oldest dog has died aged 21.

Sherlock, a Collie cross-breed, was named the oldest dog in the country last Decembe rafter celebrating her 21st birthday.

She had spent much of her life climbing Scotland's Munros with her owner Brian Thomson, from Penicuik.

Brian, 62, was forced to take the heart-wrenching decision to put her to sleep after a lengthy struggle with arthritis in her legs left her unable to move.
