Oh we do like to spend on a summer trip

HOLIDAY makers from Edinburgh are more likely to splash out on an expensive break than anyone else in the UK.

A survey has found that Capital residents spend an average 1,125 on their summer trip.

Clydesdale Bank interviewed 3,000 people across the UK on summer spending.

They also found that people in the city spend an average 56 on nights out a month, 50 on takeaway food and manage to save around 87 a month.
