Officials hold talks over Scottish security service

SCOTTISH Government officials are reported to have been holding talks with intelligence chiefs from around the world in to discuss how a security service could be created in independent Scotland.

Civil servants have been asked to study how the UK’s security services such as MI5 
and the USA’s CIA link to Scotland at present. A Scottish Government spokesman said: “Work on intelligence is being taken forward as part of the preparations for the publication of the White Paper next year, which will outline the structure of the state.”
