Officers hit by vandals spree

VANDALS have caused more than £3,000 worth of damage to police stations across Lothian and Borders in the past two years, new figures have revealed.

At St Leonards police station the front glass door was smashed, while at Portobello police office a telephone was knocked from the wall.

Altogether, vandals caused 3,671.77 worth of damage to police stations, according to details obtained under Freedom of Information legislation.
