Officer is guilty of strangling girl, 12

A DUTCH court convicted a former police officer yesterday of murdering a 12-year-old girl.

Dordrecht district court sentenced the man, identified only as Sander V, to 18 years' jail for strangling neighbour Milly Boele with a belt after abducting her in March. He was cleared of rape but convicted of sexual assault.
