Objections to phone mast

A HERITAGE group has objected to plans to erect a phone mast near the Meadows.

Vodafone/Telefonica has submitted plans to put up two 12-metre-tall replica street lights in Whitehouse Loan to accommodate its antenna.

But the Cockburn Association has lodged a formal objection. Director Marion Williams said: “We believe that a better location could be found for the masts in other buildings or sites nearer the Kilgraston Road/Strathearn Road junction.”
