Obesity fight on the menu

HEALTHY food will be made more visible and widely available across the Lothians under plans being discussed.

In a bid to "track obesity" levels, the Scottish Government has come up with a range of projects to tackle the problem.

Recent figures have shown the Lothians to be one of the worst areas in Scotland for childhood fatness.

Public Health Minister Shona Robison said: "It's time for change and for bold measures.

"No country in the world has successfully addressed obesity, and we want Scotland to be the first."
