OAP leaves cousin £110k

THE cousin of a pensioner who lay dead in her flat for five years before being discovered has inherited her £110,000 fortune, it has emerged.

The badly decomposed body of Isabella Purves was found at her home in Canonmills on 2 July last year.

The 89-year-old was only discovered when a downstairs neighbour noticed water dripping through from her flat.

It has now emerged that Ms Purves' entire 108,392.52 estate has been handed over to her cousin Eleanor Dick, who lives in Clydebank. She also inherited 90,000 from the sale of Ms Purves' flat and 18,000 in cash from bank accounts.

Yesterday Mrs Dick refused to comment.
