OAP leaves charities £2m

A PENSIONER has left £2 million to charity in her will.

Joan Nimmo-Smith of North Berwick, East Lothian, named 13 different charities in her will when she died in April aged 96. She also asked that staff at the Copper Beech Nursing Home in North Berwick, where she died, should each receive 250.

Her brother-in-law, Andrew Nimmo-Smith, had previously left 250,000 to his cats.
