OAP assaulted outside mosque

An elderly man has been seriously assaulted in the early hours of the morning in Kilmarnock.

The 71-year-old Asian man was discovered with serious facial injuries around 1.30am yesterday outside the community mosque in Hill Street and taken to hospital.
