Nurses jump to defence of NHS 24 work
NURSES in the city have jumped to the defence of NHS 24 after it was criticised last week.
The Edinburgh-based Royal College of Nursing said patient satisfaction was high among users of the resource, which offers telephone and online health advice.
The Liberal Democrats had suggested a rise in child admissions to casualty across the country was linked to a lack of confidence in the service.

Hide AdBut an RCN spokeswoman said: "The staff of NHS 24 are highly qualified and have a wealth of experience in assessing all patients. Our latest evidence shows an overall (patient] satisfaction of 90 per cent."
