Nursery tots reach green award target

A TEAM of eco-conscious youngsters from The Murrayfield Nursery are celebrating after successfully achieving their Bronze Award and the first step to Green Flag status.

Around 80 nursery children have been helping the facility improve their green creditentials by tending to their eco-garden, recycling as much waste as possible and embarking on a litter-pick of the local community.

The nursery, based at Saughton Crescent, began working towards attaining the Green Flag about one year ago with each classroom taking responsibility for their own recycling.
