Nuisance call debate urged

CAPITAL MP Mike Crockart has called for an urgent debate in the House of Commons on strengthening powers for the Information Commissioner.

The Liberal Democrat MP recently launched a campaign to clamp down on nuisance calls.

The campaign calls for the Information Commissioner’s powers to take in all forms of unsolicited contact and for there to be a single point of contact for anyone wishing to protect their privacy from unwanted calls/texts/faxes or e-mails.
