Northumberland conker contest hit by little difficulty

A CONKER competition could be called off after a poor chestnut harvest.

Organisers of the Bardon Mill and Roman Empire Conker Championships say this year's crop are tiny, far too small for competition.

The event was due to take place next weekend on the village green in Bardon Mill, Northumberland.
