No charges over dead plane passenger

TWO women arrested when trying to take a dead relative on a plane will not face charges, the Crown Prosecution Service said yesterday.

Gitta Jarant and Anke Anusic were arrested at Liverpool John Lennon Airport in April as they tried to board a flight to Berlin when it transpired that Kurt Willi Jarant, 91, who was in a wheelchair, was dead. Jarant, 66, and Anusic, 41 - the man's widow and stepdaughter claimed they thought he was sleeping.It is understood the case was dropped because the time of death could not be ascertained.
