Nicola Sturgeon ‘crashes stag do in Glasgow’

SELFIES, tennis banter and leading the SNP to 56 seats in the UK Government. Is there anything Nicola Sturgeon can’t do?

Scotland’s First Minister has won plaudits for her style on social media and connection to the people - but personally greeting every stag party in Scotland seems to be overstepping the mark somewhat.

Ms Sturgeon was snapped with the groom-to-be by Tobi Wilson, who posted the photo on Twitter with the caption: “I’m at a stag in Scotland so of course the stag met Nicola Sturgeon.”

The SNP leader tweeted Tobi to wish them all the best, adding: “Enjoy the stag night...and, of course, the wedding!”

Tobi replied: “[Ruaraidh] says thanks, while he’s still coherent.”

The groom is reportedly Ruaraidh MacIntyre, a marketing manager for a number of whisky firms in Canada.

Incredibly, it’s not Ms Sturgeon’s first brush with a stag party, as she posed for photographs with a group leaving for Hamburg in the wake of the SNP’s landslide in the General Election.
