NHS warns of sun dangers

A HEALTH helpline based in the Lothians has warned residents about the dangers of summer.

NHS 24 in South Queensferry said people had to be aware of skin cancer risks as warmer weather approached.

The organisation's website – www.nhs24.com – has set out a number of tips to stay safe in the sun.

Medical director George Crooks said: "By taking just a few simple steps, we can all make the most of the good weather, without any ill effects."
