NHS has £20m unused land

NHS Lothian is sitting on more than £20 million of unused land, it has emerged.

The health board is thought to be waiting for the market environment to improve before selling on unwanted space and properties.

Current valuations of various sites across the Lothians amounts to nearly 22 million, but it is hoped that figure will swell, allowing the organisation to cope better with an expected 200 million funding cut over the next five years.
