New wildlife crime officer

A NEW part-time wildlife crime officer has been appointed by Lothian and Borders Police.

Pc Mike Urquhart will work with the SSPCA, the RSPB and the Scottish Government Environment and Rural Affairs Department.

PC Urquhart said that he was looking forward to the new challenge, adding: 'Wildlife crime will not be tolerated."
